About the position

The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating daily operations within a family-owned food processing company. This position is designed for a motivated individual who can thrive in a small business environment, working closely with a team to enhance company performance and profitability. The role involves coordinating various administrative tasks, tracking production, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring effective communication with the processing team.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor daily customer shipments.
• Maintain updated production and inventory counts.
• Prepare and generate daily, weekly reports of company operations.
• Coordinate sales efforts to match production levels.
• Work with customers to schedule shipments.
• Assist with other general office duties such as filing, scanning, answering phones and other duties as necessary.
• Assist with scheduling work orders for plant staff to complete each day.
• Monitor plant staff work performance and quality to meet daily production goals.

Requirements

• College degree in business or related field preferred.
• Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, and intermediate to advanced in MS Excel.
• Experience with database systems and CRM applications preferred.
• Ability to create reports in Excel using charts and pivot tables preferred.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
