About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Disability Rights Wisconsin is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and organizational support across multiple offices. This role involves coordinating office operations, supporting fundraising efforts, managing databases, and assisting with publications and outreach initiatives. The position is integral to ensuring efficient office procedures and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the organization in advocating for the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate acquisition of office equipment and furnishings for all offices.
  • Maintain and improve office procedures and requests for clerical support.
  • Resolve agency-wide operations problems and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Take the lead role in working with business contacts regarding building maintenance, rental cars, and office equipment.
  • Maintain centralized DRW Office Calendars and filing systems for important documents.
  • Provide administrative support for quality improvement projects and all-staff meetings.
  • Prepare and organize meeting materials for the Board of Directors.
  • Manage donor database and maintain updated mailing lists.
  • Coordinate the Annual Reporting process and oversee mass mailings.
  • Proofread DRW-produced materials and create flyers for events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 5 years' administrative support experience or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Experience in phone and customer service.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, ideally with the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and dedication to completing projects on time.
  • Experience with culturally diverse backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Wisconsin's disability-related services and legal rights.
  • Experience using computerized databases.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Hmong is encouraged.
  • Experience with advocacy for people with disabilities or vulnerable populations.
