About the position

As an Operations Coordinator at Univar Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of our shipping and receiving office. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to incoming inquiries, gathering and maintaining data, and coordinating special projects as assigned. In this role, you will utilize your PC skills to prepare correspondence, statements, and reports, often requiring your supervisor's signature. You will be the first point of contact for customer inquiries, and your ability to communicate effectively will be essential. You will also maintain budget records and response memos, manage telephone communications, and prioritize messages in your supervisor's absence. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be crucial as you gather, compile, and maintain data and record systems. The Operations Coordinator position requires a proactive approach to problem resolution and the ability to work well under pressure. You will need to manage a diverse workload with conflicting deadlines, demonstrating strong time management skills. Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate administrative duties in a shipping and receiving office.
  • Support an individual or a business unit by directing and responding to incoming inquiries.
  • Gather, compile, and maintain data and record systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, statements, and reports for supervisor's signature using a PC.
  • Maintain standard office procedures and sort and answer phones.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide problem resolution.
  • Maintain budget records and response memos.
  • Receive and place telephone calls, greet callers, and prioritize messages in supervisor's absence.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years minimum administrative/secretarial support experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong skills in English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience with problem resolution.
  • Self-motivated and dependable with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel.
  • Good analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility.
  • PC skills and knowledge of various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize diverse workloads with conflicting deadlines.
