About the position

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing DEW's preconstruction and construction scheduling. This role ensures the implementation of best industry practices and software, organizes schedule data, monitors performance, and supports project teams in setting up and maintaining quality project schedules. The position also focuses on standardizing and improving the use of Procore software across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines and keeping project stakeholders informed.
  • Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating timely resolutions.
  • Standardizing DEW's scheduling standards and processes.
  • Regularly monitoring and reporting project schedule health to management.
  • Preparing recurring progress reports for management.
  • Recommending actions to complete projects on time.
  • Researching, identifying, and implementing best-in-class scheduling software.
  • Continuing education through third-party scheduling trainings and seminars.
  • Training new and existing employees on DEW's scheduling process and best practices.
  • Assisting the Preconstruction and Estimating Departments with developing bid schedules.
  • Assisting in developing detailed preconstruction schedules and tracking updates.
  • Assisting Operations Department in the oversight of all construction schedules.
  • Coordinating closely with management staff in Operations regarding project issues.
  • Collecting historical schedule data and entering it into a usable tracker format.
  • Assisting project teams with scheduling needs and questions.
  • Assisting in the quality control review of construction schedules.
  • Building out larger, more complicated, multi-phased project schedules.
  • Assisting with recurring schedule updates for complex projects.
  • Tracking schedule compression and delays and reporting concerns to management.
  • Ensuring all project schedules contain key milestones and activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong customer orientation and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional computer experience, particularly with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with the construction industry, CMiC, and Procore preferred.
