About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Western Utility Telecom plays a crucial role in supporting various departments by managing operational tasks, maintaining data systems, and ensuring effective communication between teams. This position requires collaboration with department managers to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency, while also handling technical writing and documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Production, QC, shipping/receiving managers in day-to-day coordination and management of business operational tasks.
  • Maintain and enter data for departmental programs and systems as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Write/edit technical documents to ensure that all procedures are up-to-date and current.
  • Facilitate problem-solving regarding the operation of various departments and identify opportunities for improving operations.
  • Handle and process shipping documents such as BOLS and packing slips.
  • Utilize and update Oracle NetSuite to process work orders and assist with Quality Improvement Opportunities (QIO).
  • Act as a liaison between operations and production departments, ensuring proper communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's degree in business management or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business administration with a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
  • Experience in project management or management assistance is preferred.
  • Experience using Oracle NetSuite preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including probing and persuasion.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities to provide clear and concise documentation.
  • Advanced level of proficiency using MS Office, specifically strong in Excel and Word as well as Adobe.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production facility.
