About the position

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, supervision, and development of student building managers and the information desk at the LBJ Student Center. This role involves ensuring the seamless operation of all managed spaces, including facility planning, project oversight, and vendor relations, while also enforcing policies and safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise and schedule the student Building Manager team responsible for customer service and operational support.
  • Lead regular meetings, conduct training, and maintain training manuals and resources.
  • Ensure information desk materials and service model are current and relevant.
  • Develop, track, and report facility and operations statistics.
  • Assist the Associate Director, Operations in coordinating facility-related logistics and services.
  • Conduct regular on-site facility inspections for building integrity and safety concerns.
  • Serve as a vital member of the Operations team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Provide support for day-to-day building maintenance and events operations.
  • Serve as a risk management coordinator, developing emergency response plans and conducting training exercises.
  • Interpret and enforce LBJ Student Center and University policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervision experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
