We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Operations Coordinator within the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities to ensure that service and delivery goals are achieved on time. This position requires you to handle various aspects of dispatch, which includes fielding incoming calls from employees and customers, routing drivers, and resolving account/customer issues. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. As an Operations Coordinator, you will communicate vital information and instructions to drivers regarding their schedules, route changes, road conditions, accidents, emergencies, and any other situations that may impact their scheduled services or deliveries. You will also handle all customer call-ins, providing updates on expected delivery and service times, and making outgoing calls to customers regarding issues such as locked gates and missed services. Supporting drivers during reported emergencies and providing appropriate resources to assist with issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with the customer service department will be essential for scheduling deliveries or services. You will review driver manifests at the end of the day to ensure that all information is documented and work with drivers to capture delivery and service information accurately. Conducting route check-ins to verify that all information on the manifest is accurate and complete is necessary for proper posting. Keeping the Operations Manager updated on issues and their resolutions, posting routes and deliveries, and performing other duties as assigned will round out your responsibilities in this role.
