About the position

The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing administrative support within the company, requiring a comprehensive understanding of company functions, policies, and practices. This position involves managing operational and maintenance planning for water and wastewater plants, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining various office systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Handles the operational and maintenance planning, scheduling, and controlling of water and wastewater plants.
  • Prepares training documents for use by Operations Managers and employees.
  • Maintains all filing systems.
  • Completes timely, accurate reporting including process control reports, well logs, monthly wastewater reports, residual reports, and Weekly Account Manager reports.
  • Manages insurance filings, keeling assets, and tracking (GPS, etc.).
  • Maintains filing systems and other related office functions including purchase orders, invoices, various inventories, work orders, and management of subcontractors.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and payroll timesheets, and Birdnest entries/updates.
  • Tracks plant safety inspections and audits.
  • Orders and maintains operator supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet.
  • Ability to work with basic office equipment and phone systems.
  • Ability to work with numbers, including calculations and cash handling.
  • Ability to type 35 WPM, including Alpha-numeric keys and 10 key-machine.
  • Working knowledge of billing and payment processing.
  • Familiarity with rate orders and contracts.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Knowledge of company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
