About the position

The position is responsible for various operational duties within the Nursing Education Department, focusing on data analysis related to efficiency, productivity, service, and quality. The role involves collaboration with the Clinical Manager/Director and Professional Development Specialists, maintaining operational systems, and ensuring effective communication and problem resolution within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meeting documents and PowerPoints for the Clinical Manager/Director.
  • Take meeting notes and assist with scheduling meetings.
  • Oversee surgical areas and coordinate projects as assigned.
  • Act as a liaison between the Clinical Manager/Director and various stakeholders.
  • Attend inpatient work-group meetings and contribute to operations.
  • Assist in the analysis and display of quality data with Clinical Managers.
  • Review and correct staff clockings daily, monitoring for trends.
  • Work with Clinical Managers on evaluation of monthly departmental reports.
  • Collaborate with the Business Director for variance investigation.
  • Minimize waste and suggest cost-reduction strategies.
  • Streamline the purchasing process with Clinical Managers.
  • Produce and coordinate data collection related to HPPD/SEPPD.
  • Maintain databases related to competencies and licenses.
  • Disperse information to staff as directed by Clinical Managers.
  • Produce graphs for hospital key indicators and staffing effectiveness.
  • Support clinical leadership by referring individuals for problem-solving.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with hospital operations and data analysis required.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with personal computers (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
