About the position

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for various operational duties within the Nursing Education Department at Trinity Health Michigan. This role involves coordinating projects, analyzing departmental data, and maintaining operational systems to enhance efficiency and productivity. The position requires collaboration with clinical managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meeting documents and PowerPoint presentations for the manager.
  • Take meeting notes and assist with scheduling meetings.
  • Oversee surgical areas and coordinate various operational duties.
  • Act as a liaison between the Clinical Manager/Director and customers to ensure follow-up and resolution of issues.
  • Attend inpatient work-group meetings and contribute to operations as appropriate.
  • Assist in the analysis and display of quality data with Clinical Managers and Professional Development Specialists.
  • Review and correct staff clockings daily, monitoring for trends and reporting findings to Clinical Managers.
  • Work with Clinical Managers on evaluation and analysis of monthly departmental expense/revenue reports.
  • Coordinate efforts with Clinical Managers to streamline the purchasing process.
  • Maintain databases related to competencies, TB, BCLS, and licenses.
  • Produce and coordinate data collection related to HPPD/SEPPD on a daily basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote teamwork by keeping others informed and participating in group decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with hospital operations and data analysis required.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with personal computers, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
