About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) is responsible for overseeing the daily operational functions of the organization's programs and facilities, particularly the Center for Music and Creative Technologies (CMCT). This role is crucial in managing logistics, systems, and resources to support YMF's mission of providing music education to underserved communities. The coordinator will engage with students, families, and staff to ensure a welcoming environment and smooth program delivery, particularly during after-school and weekend activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation for YMF's programs.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Center for Music and Creative Technologies (CMCT).
  • Provide program support during after-school and Saturday programming.
  • Implement and refine systems that support the efficiency of YMF's programs.
  • Maintain student records and ensure student forms are organized and up to date.
  • Ensure all facility and program equipment is properly installed, maintained, and operational.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, instruments, software, and other resources.
  • Ensure adherence to program operational and safety protocols.
  • Serve as the point person for managing and processing bills and coordinating utilities for the facility.
  • Process payroll, ensuring all hours worked are accurately logged.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students and families, providing support and addressing concerns.
  • Support onboarding and engagement of program participants, teaching artists, and volunteers.
  • Support the coordination of the Parent/Guardian Advisory Council.
  • Provide logistical and engagement support for performances, events, and workshops.
  • Support the distribution and collection of surveys at events.

Requirements

  • Experience in nonprofit operations, facilities management, program coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing scheduling tools, Google Workspace, and Slack.
  • Experience working in an educational or creative arts facility.
  • Familiarity with the needs of underserved communities.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
