Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools located in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston, serving grades K-12. The organization is dedicated to coaching and investing in teachers to help students achieve at the highest levels and graduate from college. The Operations Coordinator role at Brooke East Boston is crucial for ensuring operational excellence in support of effective teaching. This position involves overseeing essential programs such as transportation, field trips, family communication, and building-wide beautification efforts. The role is fast-paced and offers opportunities to build rewarding relationships with students, teachers, and families. As the Operations Coordinator, you will manage student transportation and maintain communication with families and vendors. You will also be responsible for organizing school field trips, including all logistics for overnight trips. Engaging with families is a key part of the role, which includes managing Parent Involvement Council meetings and coordinating various school events and celebrations, such as the 8th-grade moving-up ceremony and student dances. Additionally, you will provide support to the main office for visitor, family, and student requests, as well as undertake other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Operations. This is a year-round position with a salary range of $50,000 to $81,000, depending on experience, and the anticipated work hours are from 8 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Spanish speakers are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage student transportation and communication with families and vendors.
  • Manage school field trips, including logistics for overnight trips.

  • Support the logistics and coordination of various school events and celebrations, such as the 8th-grade moving-up ceremony and student dances.

  • Undertake other duties and projects as requested by the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (some college credit preferred).
  • 2 years of full-time work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
  • Professional, warm, and emotionally composed demeanor with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to start immediately.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in educational settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
