About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Veritiv is responsible for managing and maintaining records for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and providing administrative support related to product tracking and payment. This role involves a variety of tasks including shipping, receiving, and inventory management, while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, and stamping merchandise.
  • Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise.
  • Arrange for the transportation of products as needed.
  • Follow mandatory procedures to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills.
  • Support audit processes through tasks like cycle counts and bin verifications.
  • Resolve inquiries from customers or suppliers regarding policies, delivery dates, and costs.
  • Gather data and prepare documents using Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory balances within the Warehouse Management System.
  • Achieve procurement goals and support established procurement systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Distribution warehousing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with company computer systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with computerized warehouse systems preferred.
  • PC proficiency in Windows-based software programs.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Software and basic keyboarding skills.
  • Strong math skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer relations skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and diplomacy skills.
