About the position

Fortinet is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Union City, California. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all Fortinet orders. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for pulling and preparing shipments, assembling SKUs, and processing shipment requests. This includes packing, staging gear, and managing the loading and unloading process. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of warehousing operations and assembly procedures, as well as a commitment to maintaining inventory control through regular physical inventory cycle counts. In this position, you will optimize warehouse space management and layout to improve efficiency. You will also be expected to proactively notify management of any unresolved issues or problems in a timely manner. Contributing to team efforts by assisting with related tasks as needed is essential. A key aspect of this role is promoting a safe and clean work environment by organizing and maintaining the pallet and storage areas, while complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations. The Operations Coordinator will work in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to complete routine and repetitive tasks with meticulous accuracy. This position is vital to the overall success of Fortinet's operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all Fortinet orders by pulling and preparing them for shipment.
  • Assemble SKUs and process shipment requests, including packing, staging gear, and managing the loading and unloading process.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of warehousing operations and assembly procedures.
  • Maintain inventory control and conduct regular physical inventory cycle counts.
  • Optimize warehouse space management and layout to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to lift weights of up to 40 lbs or higher, as well as the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete routine and repetitive tasks with meticulous accuracy.
  • Proficiency in inventory cycle count and control techniques.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment that undergoes frequent changes.
  • Previous experience operating electronic pallet jacks is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision is a crucial requirement.
  • Demonstrates composure and remains calm in high-pressure situations.
