About the position

The Emergency Operations Coordinator (EOC) will support the CDC Division of Emergency Operations (DEO) by planning, preparing, and executing emergency operations. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing information requests, and ensuring effective communication during emergency situations. The EOC will also be responsible for monitoring project timelines and adapting to shifting priorities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute reports to internal and external partners.
• Triage Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Assistance (RFA), or Requests for Resources (RFR).
• Coordinate with response task forces and teams to meet support requirements.
• Participate in meetings, briefings, and working groups, contributing to reports and feedback mechanisms.
• Develop schedules and track projects to meet support requirements and determine resource needs.
• Communicate issues, problems, or additional information to managers and project stakeholders, recommending solutions.
• Monitor and evaluate project timelines and activities, reporting progress to project managers.
• Manage shifting priorities during emergency activations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree required.
• 5+ years of related emergency operations experience.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Highly organized with extreme flexibility and willingness to accept new challenges.
• Proficiency in Teams, Zoom, MS Office, and Visio.
