About the position

West Star Aviation is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As the fastest growing maintenance repair organization in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering customer service excellence through our talented team of employees. This position is crucial in providing planning support for the Production Departments, assisting with planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities. The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for creating work packages and coordinating parts, ensuring that all production activities run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will be essential to many functions within the organization. You will need to have reliable transportation to get to work every day. Your responsibilities will include entering discrepancies into our Corridor system, sorting and organizing paperwork related to aircraft, assisting with parts ordering, and coordinating with vendors for repairs and services. You will also track material quantities for Completions projects and manage project folders, including scheduling kick-off meetings and debriefs, and adding customer requests to work orders. The Operations Coordinator will build work packages, review work orders for squawks generated from inspections, and process cores to be sent out. You will be expected to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and perform any other job-related duties as assigned by your supervisor or management. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide planning support for the Production Departments.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities.
  • Create work packages and coordinate parts.
  • Enter discrepancies into Corridor as needed.
  • Sort and organize paperwork at aircraft, such as parts traceability and completed work cards.
  • Assist with parts ordering prior to aircraft arrival and throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs and services.
  • Track material quantities for Completions projects.
  • Schedule and attend kick-off meetings and debriefs.
  • Build work packages by printing cards and stickers for the aircraft.
  • Review work orders for squawks generated from inspections and advise leads and managers when completed.
  • Process cores to be sent out and update cores for any needed extensions.
  • Deliver parts to the floor for aircraft requests.
  • Request purchase orders for services going out for repair/service.
  • Organize completed cards at the end of the project by squawk number.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license approved for airline travel or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Extensive office and administrative support experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work every day.
