About the position

The position is responsible for various operational duties within the Nursing Education Department, focusing on data analysis, project coordination, and communication between clinical management and staff. The role involves maintaining operational systems, producing departmental data, and ensuring efficient processes in collaboration with Clinical Managers and Professional Development Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects such as strategic plans, budgets, and quality improvement teams as assigned by the Clinical Manager/Director.
  • Act as a liaison between Clinical Manager/Director and customers to ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution of issues.
  • Attend inpatient work-group meetings and contribute to operations as appropriate.
  • Assist Clinical Managers and Professional Development Specialists in the analysis and display of quality data.
  • Review and correct staff clockings daily, monitoring for trends and reporting findings to Clinical Managers.
  • Work with Clinical Managers on evaluation/analysis of monthly departmental expense/revenue reports.
  • Act as a steward of resources by minimizing waste and suggesting cost-reduction strategies.
  • Produce and coordinate data collection/evaluation related to HPPD/SEPPD on a daily basis.
  • Maintain databases related to competencies, TB, BCLS, and licenses, collaborating with Clinical Managers for updates.
  • Disperse information to staff as directed by Clinical Managers.
  • Maintain databases to produce graphs for hospital key indicators and staffing effectiveness indicators.
  • Listen and explore problems before providing advice and/or options.
  • Support clinical leadership efforts by referring individuals to appropriate team members for problem-solving.
  • Cooperate with staff in achieving team goals by initiating or helping others with tasks when time permits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and assume a positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Promote teamwork by keeping others informed and participating effectively in group decision-making.
  • Assume responsibility and seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Suggest ways to improve quality, productivity, costs, and work processes.
  • Provide information accurately and completely, ensuring clear communication.
  • Respond to expressed requests and needs from customers in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with hospital operations and data analysis required.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with personal computers, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
