About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Pinnacle Bank Arena plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Department by overseeing event setups and conversions, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the facility. This position requires effective communication, organization, and the ability to work under pressure, while also being flexible to accommodate the demands of various events, including working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to Operations Department staff through labor and crew supervision.
  • Perform and direct staff in a variety of setup and conversion tasks.
  • Assist with operations-related tasks such as custodial, maintenance, snow removal, and project work.
  • Direct, supervise, and inspect event conversions.
  • Perform inspections, prepare task lists, and conduct minor maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in scheduling, hiring, and training part-time conversion staff.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory control.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations of the facility are met, including loading/unloading delivery trucks and transporting waste to disposal areas.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety concerns, or property loss to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with ongoing event needs and adapt to changes as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in custodial and building maintenance.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including copier and fax machine.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise effective judgment and initiative.
  • Knowledge of common tools used in carpentry, custodial, and landscape work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event management or coordination.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in facility operations.
