Responsibilities

• Receive and process USPS mail and emails from incarcerated individuals, ensuring accurate logging of requests into the database.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to fulfill requests from incarcerated individuals in a timely manner, adhering to facility-specific requirements.
• Communicate with chaplains and prison staff to gather data on the needs of Muslim inmates and maintain an organized chaplaincy database.
• Locate potential grant opportunities from foundations and government agencies that align with the organization's mission.
• Maintain a grant calendar to track upcoming deadlines, submission statuses, and renewal dates.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and in compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in researching and finding grants, including knowledge of the grant application process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret handwritten correspondence.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
