About the position

The Operations Coordinator at McKesson Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting the operational needs of the Distribution Center. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including employee onboarding, training, compliance with policies and procedures, project management, and administrative tasks. The Operations Coordinator also contributes to the implementation of enterprise-wide programs and employee engagement activities, ensuring a positive experience for all staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts new hire orientation and employee onboarding, reviewing local and enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Completes 30, 60, 90-day follow-ups with new hires until hire checklists are completed.
  • Assists in conducting annual site trainings/information sessions for both Day and Night Shift employees.
  • Provides annual safety and security re-training courses to meet compliance policies.
  • Processes additional pay bi-weekly for exempt employees and weekly for non-exempt employees, including On Call pay for Supervisors.
  • Reviews timecards for CA Meal Violations and provides leadership with a list of employees with violations.
  • Assists with customer calls regarding missing control items in inventory.
  • Handles DEA Background check submissions.
  • Assists with Records and Information Management (RIMs) by filing, boxing, tracking, and submitting requests for file transfers.
  • Acts as a Vitality champ, providing weekly and monthly communication for Vitality updates and benefits.
  • Supports annual enrollment by providing information on benefit options and being available for each shift.
  • Organizes and supports in-house engagement events, including monthly birthdays, holiday activities, health screenings, and recognition boards.
  • Guides employees in resolving issues related to benefits, pay discrepancies, ethics concerns, and policy questions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; 4 Year Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to become proficient in McKesson Operations Systems (i.e. SAP, Labor Management, Ariba, Accumax, Workday, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise and local policies, practices, and systems.
  • Previous operation/warehouse experience.
