About The Position

The Operations Coordinator serves as a vital link between Sales, production, distribution, and the lab team, ensuring that cylinder assets are available for daily orders. This role is essential for facilitating communication and collaboration among various departments to achieve customer fulfillment and meet production goals.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of production, scheduling and shipping operations
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
• Working knowledge of DOT, FDA and OSHA regulations for compressed gases
• Skilled to use MS Office suite and research the Internet for information when required
• Ability to assess issues and present solutions during problem solving sessions
• Ability to read, discuss, listen, and understand information exchanges verbally and in writing
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple priorities across the sales, production, and distribution departments.

• Customer service experience of 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Inventory of stock items, I.L. inventory and updating the SGL inventory as required.
• Work with Newburgh, sales, customer service, production, and distribution departments to ensure open communications for all orders on all issues that may arise involving cylinder product assets.
• Verify that specialty gas orders are in stock or the lab manager is aware of specialty gas inventory requirements.
• Work with the Lab for gas certifications for orders being delivered the next day.
• Learn the requirements for certificates of conformance and analysis for the different products that normally require these certificates.
• Review the TIMS production report for open gas orders and verify product & certificate requirements with the plant full cylinder inventory.
• Assist the plant manager with RGA (returned goods) investigations for timely RGA reporting.
• Qualify and serve as a Quality Assurance Reviewer for FDA compliance.
