About the position

The Supervisor Logistics is responsible for supervising and coordinating logistics operations, ensuring that staff members are trained and developed to meet company standards. This role involves monitoring performance, implementing health and safety initiatives, and collaborating with customers to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
• Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager
• Establish work schedules and procedures for optimal team logistics
• Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI)
• Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations
• Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress and track performance
• Cultivate team spirit and promote cooperation through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases
• Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes
• Maintain positive labor relations and understand labor agreements
• Implement health & safety and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies
• Provide orientation and necessary resources for employees and Lead Hands

Requirements

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
• 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required
