About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Ascension Health is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to supply and inventory control within the Materials Management department. This role ensures that inventory issues are resolved, audits are performed, and stock levels are maintained to support patient care effectively. The coordinator will also manage product conversions in the ERP system and adhere to stock rotation guidelines to minimize expiration of supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations for supply and inventory control.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues/problems.
  • Perform audit and logistical duties for supply and inventory control.
  • Responsible for inventory storeroom levels and financial variance.
  • Execute product conversions within the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Maintain item attributes in the ERP system.
  • Support distribution and daily supply operations to ensure no disruptions occur that will negatively impact patient care.
  • Ensure stock expiration is minimized with adherence to stock rotation guidelines and best practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ year experience in hospital supply chain or related field.
