About the position

The Operations Coordinator at ID Logistics plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of freight in a cross-dock environment. This position is focused on meeting client goals while supervising a profitable and effective shift, specifically during weekends. The coordinator will oversee various operational tasks to maintain high standards of service and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Control and expedite the flow of inbound and outbound freight.
• Oversee the flow of loaded breakdown projects and project the number of loads to be shipped daily.
• Review appointment schedules to ensure timely unloading of appointments.
• Coordinate trailer movements utilizing the Yard Management System.
• Ensure adequate labor coverage to match daily workload requirements.
• Utilize systems and software for process design and reporting efficiency.
• Organize daily movement of products to meet customer deadlines.
• Assign appointments and inbound drops to appropriate dock doors.
• Supervise loading to ensure compliance with cubic feet and weight requirements.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance.
• Observe and assist in enforcing company safety rules.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Minimum of 2 years of Forklift experience.
• 3 years of experience in a warehousing/distribution environment.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for long periods of time.
• Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center.
