The Operations Coordinator is a crucial role that communicates daily transportation activities to the team to ensure service and delivery goals are achieved on time. This position is responsible for various aspects of dispatch, including fielding incoming calls from employees and customers, routing drivers, and resolving account/customer issues. The Operations Coordinator will communicate information and instructions to drivers regarding schedules, route changes, road conditions, accidents, and emergencies, ensuring they are informed of any situations that may impact their scheduled services or deliveries. Additionally, this role will handle all customer call-ins, updating customers on expected delivery/service times and making outgoing calls regarding issues such as locked gates and missed services. The Operations Coordinator will support drivers during reported emergencies, providing appropriate resources to assist with issues, and will work closely with the customer service department on scheduling deliveries or services. Responsibilities also include posting routes and pickups, reviewing driver manifests at the end of the day to ensure documentation is accurate, and conducting route check-ins to confirm that all information on the manifest is complete. Keeping the Operations Manager updated on issues and their resolutions is also a key part of this role, along with performing other duties as assigned.
