About the position

The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of quality community-based services by supervising Medical Support Workers and collaborating with the Compliance Coordinator. This position involves managing staff, overseeing service delivery, and maintaining compliance with agency policies and state regulations. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for fostering a positive work culture, ensuring transparent communication, and actively participating in the agency's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Medical Support Workers responsible for direct care.
  • Complete and maintain attendance point tracker.
  • Check employee's time in workday for accuracy and submit to payroll.
  • Obtain approval to provide discipline and draft performance documentation for employees.
  • Create employee requisitions and participate in hiring and training processes.
  • Work with Directors to ensure accurate billing data and evaluate staffing needs.
  • Ensure daily attendance meets service authorization criteria and monitor monthly attendance for billing compliance.
  • Foster a culture that empowers direct reports and encourages accountability and transparent communication.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings and maintain frequent communication with employees.
  • Participate in team efforts for business development and person-centered planning.
  • Rotate on-call responsibilities and cover vacant shifts as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures regarding abuse, neglect, and HR documentation.
  • Maintain visibility and open communication with employees, families, and state employees.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within timelines.
  • Establish consistent communication with all stakeholders and promote proactive change management.
  • Actively participate in meeting agency strategic goals and be flexible with scheduling.

Requirements

  • 1 year of management experience in community-based services preferred.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and agency-required systems.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community-based services management.
  • Knowledge of HCBS requirements.
