The Operations Coordinator is a pivotal role within Campbell Transportation Company, responsible for supporting the daily operations of all CTC River Vessels. This position requires effective coordination and communication with various departments, including Logistics, Compliance, Purchasing, Shoreside Management, and the Vessels themselves. The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained and supported, which is essential for the smooth operation of the fleet. In this role, the Operations Coordinator will be tasked with tracking and documenting the closure of corrective and preventative actions, working closely with department heads to ensure timely completion. This includes communicating all corrective and preventative actions and closures from audits, inspections, and surveys to the appropriate departments, including the vessels. The coordinator will also monitor the efficiency and productivity of line-haul vessels, harbor vessels, and fleeting utilization through the creation and monitoring of performance indicators. Collaboration with Analysts in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is also a key responsibility, as the Operations Coordinator will assist in developing and refining reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) used to monitor the efficiency of the fleet. Additionally, the coordinator will assist the Vessel Operations team with crewing metrics and reports for the river vessel fleet, ensuring that data input from vessels is monitored and relevant reports are generated for management. The role also involves managing special projects and tracking their progress throughout the timeline, as well as assisting the Vessel Operations department with any day-to-day needs. The Operations Coordinator must be adaptable and ready to perform other duties as required, as management retains the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed.
