About the position

The Operations Coordinator at NRG Park is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and event execution within a premier facility that includes multiple venues. This role involves coordinating personnel, managing subcontractors, and ensuring that all client requirements are met while adhering to facility policies and regulations. The Operations Coordinator acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service during events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of operations including supervision, event coordination, equipment maintenance, event staffing, setups and changeovers, event services, fire and life safety and customer service.
  • Train staff on laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations, and emergency procedures.
  • Prepare work schedules, set staffing responsibilities, and review quantity and quality of work performed.
  • Schedule full/part-time employees and subcontracted service providers according to event demands.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems and complaints.
  • Act as a liaison with tenants, contractors, and facility users as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory, including ordering necessary supplies and materials.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage or loss of property or any other safety concerns to supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Three (3) years related experience and/or training in the public assembly facility industry in a supervisory or management position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for events.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of facility's layout and operational equipment.
  • Experience with principles and techniques of supervision, training, budget preparation, and purchasing.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
