About the position

The Operations Coordinator at DEW Construction is responsible for managing and overseeing all preconstruction and construction scheduling. This role ensures the implementation of best industry practices and software, standardizes processes, organizes schedule data, monitors performance, and supports project teams in setting up and maintaining quality project schedules. The position also focuses on optimizing the use of Procore software across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.
  • Monitor project timelines and deadlines, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Standardize DEW's scheduling standards and processes.
  • Regularly monitor and report project schedule health to management.
  • Prepare recurring progress reports for management.
  • Recommend actions to complete projects on time.
  • Research, identify, and implement best-in-class scheduling software.
  • Continue education through third-party scheduling trainings and seminars.
  • Train new and existing employees on DEW's scheduling process and best practices.
  • Assist Preconstruction and Estimating Departments with developing bid schedules.
  • Assist in developing detailed preconstruction schedules and track updates.
  • Assist Operations Department in overseeing all construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with Management staff in Operations regarding project issues.
  • Collect historical schedule data and enter it into a usable tracker format.
  • Assist project teams with scheduling needs and questions.
  • Assist in quality control review of construction schedules.
  • Assist in building out larger, more complicated project schedules.
  • Assist with recurring schedule updates for larger projects.
  • Track schedule compression and delays, reporting concerns to management.
  • Ensure all project schedules contain key milestones and activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with Bluebeam.
  • Strong customer orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with the construction industry, CMiC, and Procore preferred.

  • Experience with scheduling software and tools.
  • Knowledge of best practices in construction scheduling.
