About the position

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of municipal operations, performing technical, administrative, and professional tasks. This role involves managing sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism, providing support for various municipal activities, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. The position requires collaboration with other departments and managing special events, including administrative support for the Town Green and Amphitheater.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Town Green and perform clerical functions.
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Assess departmental needs and coordinate procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support and manage special events including concerts and rentals.
  • Manage the reservation process for events and facilities at the Town Green.
  • Update and maintain the Amphitheater's website with current event information.
  • Develop and curate engaging social media content for the Amphitheater.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business, Economics, Communications or a related field.
  • Two years of local government experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of municipal government activities and functions.
  • Knowledge of public information and public relations techniques.
  • Skill in accurate oral and written communication.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and pay close attention to details.
