About the position

The Operations Coordinator position is a key support function within the organization, requiring a blend of computer applications work and physical labor to effectively fulfill work cell functions. This role is dynamic, as it may involve working across multiple functional areas and utilizing a variety of computer programs to complete tasks efficiently. The Operations Coordinator will frequently engage in tracking and data collection of material and product movement, both within and outside the primary business operations settings. This position is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of operational data, which is critical for the overall efficiency of the business. In this role, the Operations Coordinator will be responsible for entering and tracking operations-related data using various computer applications. This requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure that all data is recorded accurately and thoroughly. The position also involves physically counting, sorting, inspecting, and tracking materials and products to maintain accurate data records. The Operations Coordinator will need to research any errors in material data records and provide clear verbal explanations of findings to Operations management personnel. Additionally, the role may require the operation of basic material handling equipment to move heavy loads as needed. Training new employees on work instructions related to the tracking and data input of materials or products is another critical responsibility of the Operations Coordinator. This includes producing basic reports on material inventory, shipping, receiving, and recycling, as well as performing other duties as assigned to support general business operations. The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that the operations team functions smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various computer applications to enter and track operations-related data in an accurate and thorough manner.
  • Physically count, sort, inspect and track materials and/or products to ensure and maintain accuracy of data records.
  • Research material data record errors and provide verbal explanations of findings to Operations management personnel.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment to move heavy loads, as needed.
  • Train new employees on work instructions relating to the tracking and data input of material or products.
  • Produce basic reports on material inventory, shipping, receiving and recycling.
  • Other duties as assigned to support general business operations.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level computer user proficiency
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Ability to perform standing work for a full shift
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs. on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Demonstrated experience in training new employees on work procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills
