About the position

As an Operations Coordinator at KBR, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Government Solutions U.S. division. This position is designed for entry-level professionals who are eager to develop their core competencies in project management and operations. Under direct supervision, you will be responsible for coordinating various project management activities, resources, equipment, and information to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your role will involve breaking down projects into manageable tasks, setting timeframes and goals, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports. You will act as the primary point of contact for project status updates, ensuring that all participants are adequately informed and aligned with project objectives. In addition to project coordination, you will be tasked with maintaining quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed established standards. Effective communication is key in this role; you will facilitate clear and consistent communication within your team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed about project goals and updates. This position is based in Chantilly, VA, and requires 100% onsite presence, with travel expected between facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • U.S. Security Clearance required; must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Polygraph is required to start.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations or project management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
