About the position

The Student Intern role at AstraZeneca is designed for sophomore and junior students majoring in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related fields. This 12-week internship, based in Coppell, TX, aims to provide hands-on experience in data collection, organization, and analysis, while supporting the operations team in identifying process improvement opportunities. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and contribute to the development of data models and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing operational data from various sources.
• Generate reports and visualizations to communicate key findings and insights.
• Support the operations team in identifying process improvement opportunities based on data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data models and dashboards.

Requirements

• Sophomore or junior students majoring in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field.
• Expected graduation date after August 2025.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, and public speaking.
• US Work Authorization is required at the time of application.
