About the position

Operations Optimization and Enablement (OOE) is a newly formed team at Citi designed to drive change and implement Operations strategy. This team is pivotal in leading the Citi transformation agenda by rapidly scaling programs of work that will redefine core operations architecture and the processes they support. A key element of the OOE is the Movement of Funds, which plays a crucial role in managing and refining risk associated with outgoing, incoming, and internal transfers. The focus is on defining a clear payment risk appetite, consolidating and reporting payment risks as a unified entity, and harmonizing controls across the enterprise. The approach includes developing a cohesive framework for risk management and reducing reliance on detective controls by implementing proactive measures. By addressing these areas, the aim is to streamline processes, enhance financial stability, and ensure consistent, effective operations throughout the organization. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of core data analytics capabilities within our division. You will define the strategic roadmap for data analytics initiatives and drive the execution of key projects to enhance our analytical capabilities. Mentoring and coaching junior talent within the data analytics team will be a significant part of your responsibilities, providing guidance and support to foster skill development, career growth, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will align data analytics initiatives with the organization's overall data strategy, working closely with leadership to ensure that these efforts are aligned with business objectives and priorities. Building strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities will be essential. You will collaborate closely to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value and inform decision-making. Additionally, you will translate data insights into actionable recommendations for senior executive audiences, developing compelling narratives, visualizations, and presentations to communicate insights and drive alignment on key strategic initiatives. A culture of continuous improvement will be driven within the data analytics team, regularly assessing and optimizing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

Responsibilities

  • 5-10+ years of experience in operations and finance functions.
