About the position

The Operations Data Analyst position at Millcreek Township School District is designed to ensure a safe and comfortable environment conducive to teaching and learning. The role involves maintaining all Millcreek school buildings and grounds in optimal condition while adhering to operational compliance with laws, regulations, and Board policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the work order system, which includes assigning, reporting, and monitoring tasks related to maintenance and operations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing facility energy input and reporting through various programs such as Energy Star and PME, as determined by administration. In addition to these responsibilities, the Operations Data Analyst will oversee the shipping, receiving, and consumable inventory for operational departments, ensuring that all government records related to district-required inspections for all buildings or property are maintained accurately. The role also involves reporting the status of walkthroughs, inspections, planned maintenance, work orders, and contracted work to administration. The analyst will coordinate major repairs with the Maintenance Department, including cost and material estimates, and keep detailed records of materials, measurements, and time spent on each job for future reference. Clerical work related to ordering, bidding, budgeting, and inventory will also be part of the daily activities, along with supporting operational departments in their day-to-day functions. The position requires strong language skills for reading, writing, analyzing, and interpreting various documents, as well as mathematical skills to work with concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The ability to solve practical problems and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community is essential. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. The work environment is generally quiet and performed indoors, with a focus on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate work order system, while assigning, reporting, and monitoring reporting to administration.
  • Monitor facility energy input and report to administration through Energy Star, PME, or other programs as determined by administration.
  • Facilitate shipping, receiving, and consumable inventory for operational departments.
  • Maintain all government records related to district required inspections for all buildings or property.
  • Report to administration status of walkthroughs, inspections, planned maintenance, work orders, and contracted work.
  • Direct facility rental software.
  • Coordinate major repairs with Maintenance Department to include cost and material estimates.
  • Keep records of materials, measurements, and time on each job for future reference through work order system.
  • Perform clerical work related to operational departments related to ordering, bidding, budgeting, and inventory.
  • Support operational departments in day-to-day activities.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Superintendent or their designee.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree, technical training, or 5 years experience in maintenance/operations department.
  • Demonstrates knowledge related to advanced principles of maintenance and landscaping for public schools.
  • Ability to source and analyze data related to maintenance or custodial departments.
  • Capable of operating and understanding multiple software programs.
  • Experience in supervising school related inspections preferred.
  • Possess computer application skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis and data base management.
  • Keep abreast of new methods and technology as it applies to building operations.
