About the position

The Operations Demand Planner plays a crucial role in the food manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, focusing on demand planning activities. This position is responsible for driving the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and maintaining accurate operations forecast files. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales team to estimate future product demand and translate these estimates into a comprehensive operations forecast that guides supply chain activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
• Support management by conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Propose and execute strategies to enhance demand forecast accuracy.
• Effectively communicate forecast and inventory levels to management.
• Monitor and report significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
• Establish and maintain monthly forecasts to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production schedules.
• Contribute significantly to monthly S&OP activities.
• Address demand-related challenges promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate demand for new product introductions and limited time offers (LTOs) within the overall demand framework.
• Commit to fostering a culture of safety, ensuring a secure work environment.
• Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or other supply chain functions.
• Experience across multiple supply chain disciplines, such as manufacturing, logistics, procurement, R&D, and quality, is highly preferred.
