The Operations Development Analyst serves as a critical point of contact for system issues and project initiatives within the Operations department. This role involves interacting with various business areas to analyze the impact of customer and company needs. The analyst will collaborate with IT and other departments to identify problems and assist in creating effective solutions. A key responsibility is to document business requirements and test plans, as well as execute user acceptance testing to ensure that systems meet operational needs. The analyst will also participate in both operational and corporate initiatives, working collaboratively to develop optimal strategic and tactical solutions to address business process and system gaps. In this role, the analyst will analyze reported system issues to determine their scope, impact, and priority. They will document service requests with clear details, including interpretable descriptions and requirements for the requested actions. Collaboration with IT and relevant business areas is essential to implement solutions effectively. The analyst will maintain and document business requirements, validating them with the appropriate Operations area to support system implementations, including scheduled and non-scheduled releases. The analyst will create and execute comprehensive user acceptance test plans in support of system implementations, documenting results and providing input on test strategies and quality assurance plans as needed. They will also conduct pre/post-deployment testing on affected systems, user interfaces, and reports. Additionally, the analyst will elevate corporate and customer-related risks regarding system issues and business process gaps, recommending strategic and tactical approaches as appropriate. The role requires active participation in projects, including reviewing and providing input on project documentation, elevating issues and risks to the business lead and project manager, and creating and executing test plans with thorough documentation of results. The analyst is expected to take accountability for their responsibilities, drive self-development through continuous learning, and support the development of others to reduce single-person dependencies. They may also assist in developing and conducting training in partnership with the Training Director and others, as well as help with new employee system access and testing. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
