About the position

The Director of Operations and Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing the collection operations at a single site with multiple Lines of Business. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining performance and productivity metrics, managing costs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position includes P&L responsibility and involves direct management of Route Managers, aiming to optimize operations and enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the district, ensuring safety, service, and cost savings.
• Enforce safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other regulations.
• Conduct thorough investigations for injuries and incidents, providing consistent coaching and retraining.
• Oversee personnel needs, including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating performance.
• Create short-term and long-term goals and action plans in collaboration with the Senior District Manager and/or Director of Collection Operations.
• Participate in P&L reviews to ensure budget compliance and optimize equipment and labor costs.
• Liaise with local agencies to improve efficiency, renew and negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate's degree
• 2 years of supervisory and/or P&L responsibility
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience in operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial and human resource management, supervisory or managerial experience, safety program implementation, budget preparation and management, and labor relations issue resolution.
