About the position

The Operations Director at Beach Park at Isla Blanca is responsible for planning and managing various operational areas of the water park to ensure guest satisfaction and meet financial objectives. This year-round, salaried position involves oversight of Aquatics, Maintenance, First Aid, Security, and Park Services, requiring excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for all operational areas.
• Conduct staff training to ensure high standards of service and safety.
• Oversee daily staffing levels and park operations to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment.
• Manage fiscal and budgetary responsibilities for all park operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and standards.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain safety and health regulations.
• Assist management in ensuring all park areas are safe and compliant with safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies, providing first aid as necessary while ensuring personal safety.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster employee motivation.
• Monitor guest feedback and address concerns promptly.
• Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure relevant documents, checklists, safety inspections, and reports are accurately completed and submitted timely.
• Implement innovative training techniques and contribute to operational success through special projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of prior management experience in a waterpark or similar environment.
• Experience in park operations, safety, and maintenance is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Effective supervision, management, and communication skills.
• Proactive and innovative approach to job duties.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
• Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
• StarGuard Elite Certification (to be obtained post-hire).
