About the position

As a CBRE Technical Sr. Manager, you will oversee the mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This role is integral to the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems while managing a team to ensure efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and develop operating and capital budgets.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs and create building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
  • Act as the point of contact for maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians.
  • Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with high-profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management team, and vendors.
  • Drive the acquisition of new management contracts and facilitate the development of as-built drawings.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
  • Apply broad knowledge of the business and integrate with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive and complicated information and handle problems effectively.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve operational targets across multiple job disciplines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
