About the position

The Operations Director at Chick-fil-A is responsible for leading the operational aspects of the restaurant, ensuring that the team embodies the company's vision and values. This role involves developing a comprehensive business plan, overseeing team performance, and maintaining high standards of quality and guest experience. The Operations Director collaborates closely with the Chief of Staff and the Director Team to achieve sales growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Business Plan for the year with the Chief of Staff and share with the Director Team defining all goals and a plan to reach them.
  • Meet with the Director Team weekly to discuss progress and strategies.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Manager Team to challenge and encourage them.
  • Continuously develop the Manager and Team Leads through training and support.
  • Sync up with Talent and Culture Director and the Training Director on Training & Growth Plans for the team.
  • Hold the team accountable for their responsibilities and complete evaluations on all Managers on schedule.
  • Complete the weekly Back of House schedule on time.
  • Time block your schedule to hit all areas of ownership every day (Kitchen, Facilities, Front of House).
  • Enforce commitment to Excellence in all things, Ownership, & Teamwork.
  • Cultivate a Food Safety Culture and enforce cleaning lists with the entire staff.
  • Review Daily Safe Critical with Managers to ensure compliance.
  • Post and reiterate all Sales numbers and goals to the team.
  • Create a competitive, enthusiastic, & positive culture towards reaching sales goals.
  • Work in tandem with Sales and Brand Growth Director on catering & community events to ensure remarkable experiences for all guests and clients.
  • Stay up to date on all rollouts, LTO, & promotional items.
  • Complete End of Month inventory and final submission to Support Center.
  • Control Food Cost Gap and Labor Gap to ensure financial efficiency.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and manage budgets effectively.
  • Experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Familiarity with sales growth strategies in a restaurant setting.
