About the position

The Operations Engineer at Hidden Level will play a crucial role in enhancing airspace safety through innovative drone detection and airspace technology. This position focuses on supporting the deployment and maintenance of physical assets, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in service operations. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the generation of technical documentation to facilitate service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct trade studies to generate recommendations for service models and solutions to meet operational requirements.
  • Perform site survey and site acquisition activities for new installation sites.
  • Deploy new hardware to the field and monitor the health and integrity of fielded assets.
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Manage depot operations and asset management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team members in manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering for new service processes implementation.
  • Generate technical documentation including work instructions, service manuals, and training materials.
  • Serve as a bridge between Engineering Development teams and Service Operations for capability development and transition.
  • Act as administrator for software tools utilized by the Service Operations and Deployments group.
  • Represent the Service Operations and Deployments group on the Non-Conforming Material Review Board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience, with 2+ years in service operations support.
  • Broad exposure to various engineering disciplines including software, hardware, mechanical, network, and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Python programming language and ability to generate basic scripts.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects related to continual process improvement.
  • Experience administrating software tools for service operations.
  • Experience in systemic problem solving and associated techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Operations field.
  • Experience in depot or maintenance operations for electronic equipment.
  • RF hardware or telecommunications infrastructure background.
  • Continual improvement certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
