About the position

The Operations Finance Specialist & Business Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that operational and financial targets are met at the account level. This position involves direct collaboration with the lead operator to enforce procedures that align with these targets. As an Operations Finance Specialist, the individual will be responsible for processing Accounts Payable, tracking labor and direct costs, and maintaining internal controls over inventories and equipment. Additionally, the role includes preparing summary operating reports for both the client and the corporation, which are essential for informed decision-making and strategic planning. In this position, the Operations Finance Specialist will work closely with the on-site leadership team to create an annual budget, which involves re-forecasting on a monthly basis and conducting weekly flash reports. The responsibilities extend to managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Capital Expenditures, ensuring that all financial records and reports comply with Aramark's Business Conduct Policy as well as local, state, and federal regulations. The role also requires regular analysis of labor and direct costs against planned forecasts, with findings communicated to leadership through Teams meetings and email. Training and developing the operations team on financial acumen and policies is another key responsibility, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge to adhere to financial controls and processes. The Operations Finance Specialist will also assist in operational support as directed by local operational leadership or the Regional Finance Director, performing regional and account-related duties as needed. This position is dynamic, and job duties may evolve or new responsibilities may be assigned without formal notice, reflecting the company's commitment to adaptability and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the lead operator to enforce operational and financial procedures.
• Process Accounts Payable and track labor and direct costs.
• Maintain internal control of inventories and equipment.
• Prepare summary operating reports for the client and the corporation.
• Create annual budgets by re-forecasting monthly and conducting weekly flash reports.
• Analyze labor and direct costs against plans and forecasts, reporting findings to leadership.
• Maintain all financial records and reports in compliance with Aramark's Business Conduct Policy and regulations.
• Train and develop the operations team on financial acumen and policies.
• Communicate with clients regarding systems, reporting, and contract changes.
• Assist in operational support as directed by local leadership or the Regional Finance Director.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial experience, including AP/AR and P&L management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment on budgeting, cost controls, and monthly reporting.
• Adherence to generally accepted accounting practices and financial controls is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to complete work before deadlines and demonstrate initiative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
