About the position

The Operations Foreman for Landscaping Service is responsible for managing landscaping crews, ensuring timely completion of work, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to train crew members, and a proactive approach to account growth and property management.

Responsibilities

• Manage properties that require weekly landscape services
• Monitor and track crew performance to ensure timely completion of work
• Provide ongoing field training to crew members as needed
• Conduct site inspections as required
• Execute employee performance reviews and facilitate disciplinary actions
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruning saws
• Operate vehicles and powered equipment including mowers and tractors
• Water lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems or hoses
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears or chainsaws
• Gather and remove litter
• Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience as a Foreman landscaper
• Strong management skills to maintain and improve customer relationships and crew retention
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Comfortably lift 40+ pounds repetitively
• Ability to work on feet for long periods of time
• Excellent work ethic and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to identify site issues to improve properties
• Valid driver's license with no DUI
