About the position

The Operations Fund Accounting Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management of a functional team, ensuring seamless service delivery and production activities. This role involves collaboration with various teams to maintain accuracy in NAV/yield and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). The Officer will validate daily activities, resolve exceptions, and implement workflow improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Account for the day-to-day management of a functional/oversight team(s).
• Manage daily service delivery and production activities performed by staff.
• Collaborate with teams and management across the organization on various projects and oversight.
• Validate and review all daily activity while maintaining required controls.
• Research and resolve exceptions and issues.
• Facilitate timely resolution of issues related to the production of the Fund Accounting NAV.
• Propose and implement workflow changes and supporting technical solutions.
• Identify and analyze operations risks and recommend procedural changes.
• Use quality service measurement tools to ensure compliance with operational standards and create management reporting.
• Identify unusual or suspicious transaction activity and report/escalate as necessary.

Requirements

• University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or another Financial-related program.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting or a related field.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal planning, and analytical skills.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word).

Nice-to-haves

• Focus in Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred.
