About the position
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2025 Operations Intern who will work closely with Operations leadership and support teams. The intern will assist in tracking cost reduction initiatives, managing databases, and planning for the implementation of pipeline ideas. This role provides exposure to Operations across Sub and Final Assembly and Flight Operations, focusing on problem-solving and implementation planning.
Responsibilities
- Support tracking of cost reduction initiatives.
- Assist in database management.
- Plan for the implementation of pipeline ideas.
- Work with Operations on specific assignments related to affordability and production project management.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment to solve problems and implement solutions.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Quality, Finance, Industrial and Project Engineering or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Comprehension of analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing.
- Proficient with databases, data mining, and data analysis.
- Some knowledge of ERP systems.
