About the position

The Kitchen and Culinary Operations Leader at Chick-fil-A is responsible for overseeing all shift operations, leading and coaching team members, and ensuring an outstanding guest dining experience. This role requires compliance with health and safety standards while managing various operational tasks across produce, preparation, cleanliness, and dish areas. The position involves working flexible hours, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, to support business operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct and coach 10-15 team members to ensure safe and proper execution of all shift tasks.
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and taste requirements are exceeded for an outstanding guest experience.
  • Execute the Think - Plan - Communicate - Execute - Follow-up leadership functions and strategy.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, dining room, parking lot, and restrooms.
  • Stock supplies and unload supply vehicles as needed during the shift.
  • Manage and lead a team serving guests while maintaining operating standards for hospitality and guest experience.
  • Make deliveries as required.
  • Coach, teach, and train team members on policies and procedures, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Open and/or close the restaurant as a key holder.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet business operations demands.
  • 1 year of business/restaurant leadership experience required.
  • Available Mon-Sat from 2:00pm-11:00pm.
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification required.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.
  • High School Graduate; preferred two years of post-high school education or equivalent or Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Must be hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest, and possess great customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation with a current driver's license is required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous restaurant management or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
