About the position

The Operations Leader at Bibibop Asian Grill is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness. This role involves training staff, managing inventory, and promoting teamwork between kitchen and front-of-house staff to enhance the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served in accordance with company standards
• Train and develop staff members with a focus on back of house operations
• Create and implement strategies to increase sales and improve profitability
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant
• Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation
• Keep an eye on food waste and inventory levels and address any food quality issues
• Order inventory through multiple vendors, receiving and checking the quality
• Promote a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house teammates
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure great service and speed
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized
• Check kitchen equipment and ensure it's working well; arrange for repairs if necessary
• Ensure the kitchen and team meet safety guidelines to prevent accidents
• Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and perform Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
• Ability to properly lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry is required
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and beverage service
• Proven experience in inventory control, shift management, and cost control
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
