About the position

The Operations/Loan Specialist position is a contract-to-hire role within the Financial Services industry, based in Westlake Village, California. This role is essential for managing customer credit applications, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and addressing customer inquiries effectively. The specialist will play a key part in maintaining compliance and improving processes related to loans and withdrawals.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy
• Respond to loan and withdrawal queries from clients, participants, and staff in a knowledgeable and proactive manner
• Conduct quality reviews of loan and withdrawal packages prior to dispatch to clients
• Monitor ongoing loans and distributions and execute necessary follow-ups
• Develop an understanding of pension plan documents to ascertain individual plan specifications
• Regularly review loans and withdrawals to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Conduct technical research to answer queries as necessary
• Identify opportunities for improving the loan and withdrawal process
• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the Loan & Withdrawal (L& W) logs
• Provide backup to other teams as necessary to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with CRM systems
• Proficient in data processing techniques
• Familiarity with Epic Software
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to use About Time software
• Experience in auditing processes
• Skilled in check processing tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of compliance regulations in the financial services sector
