The Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) at Post Consumer Brands serves as a crucial liaison between the Operations and Maintenance departments, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of operating assets. This role is pivotal in managing maintenance activities, prioritizing work, and planning shutdowns to meet production output goals while minimizing emergency work. The OMC collaborates closely with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager, providing direction to supervisors on work prioritization related to the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. This position requires a strong operational knowledge to resolve conflicting information and organizational priorities, ultimately determining the final work schedule and prioritization of tasks. In addition to managing work priorities, the OMC is responsible for developing and maturing new EAM maintenance operating systems (MOS). This includes establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure that the plant meets its maintenance operational goals. The OMC will audit and provide feedback to both plant and corporate leadership regarding adherence to the EAM MOS, facilitating the Daily Approval & Scheduling Meeting to review new Work Requests and establish realistic priorities and need dates. The OMC must promptly review new Work Requests for accuracy and completeness, approving or rejecting them based on their value to the organization. This role also involves monitoring the quality, timeliness, and safety of maintenance job executions, ensuring that preparatory activities such as lockouts and cleaning are completed on time to avoid delays. The OMC will manage the area maintenance budget, follow up on completed urgent work orders, and utilize the Risk Rank calculator to categorize work as emergency, urgent, or routine. Additionally, the OMC participates in the turnover of projects from Engineering to Maintenance, ensuring adherence to the Work Management process and managing the execution of the Basic Equipment Care (BEC) program. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
